Stretch marks are visible lines on the skin, pink or white. They are found especially in the abdominal area, but also on the thighs, arms and buttocks. Sometimes stretch marks can cover quite large areas of the body.
Fortunately, there are some natural treatments that can reduce stretch marks.
- Potato juice
Potato juice contains vitamins and minerals that help skin regeneration.
Cut a medium potato into thick slices. Then use the slices to massage the problem areas for a few minutes. Make sure the potato liquid reaches the affected area. Leave potato the juice to act for 15-30 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.

White sugar is one of the best remedies for stretch marks and can be used to exfoliate the skin.
Mix one tablespoon of sugar with a few drops of almond oil and lemon juice. Mix well and apply on stretch marks and other skin areas. Massage softly for ten minutes, then rinse. After approximately four weeks you’ll notice the difference.
- Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is effective in treating several skin problems. It contains essential nutrients and active compounds which can help in treating minor burns, but also has the property to heal and soothe the skin, and to reduce stretch marks. You can apply aloe vera gel directly on the affected skin areas. Another option is mixing ¼ cup of aloe vera oil 10 capsules of vitamin E and vitamin A. Massage the skin with this mixture until it is absorbed. This process must be repeated daily.
- Natural lemon juice
Another simple way to get rid of stretch marks is to use lemon juice. It contains acids that help heal and reduce stretch marks, scratches, acne and other scars. Use lemon juice to massage the areas with stretch marks. Leave the juice to act for 10 minutes, then rinse the skin with lukewarm water.
- Castor oil
Castor oil is used in treating many skin problems such as wrinkles, spots, and stretch marks. Apply castor oil on the skin and massage with circular motions for at least 15 minutes.
- Egg whites
Eggs are a rich source of protein. For removing stretch marks it is recommended to use egg whites, because they contain amino acids and proteins. Mix two egg whites with a fork. Clean the skin area affected by stretch marks with warm water, then apply a layer of beaten egg white. Leave it to dry, then rinse with cold water. Apply olive oil for moisturizing. Repeat this treatment every day and after two weeks you will already see results.
